





Sin Yoon Long Coffee
Founded in 1937 by brothers Wong Poh Ting and Wong Poh Chew, Sin Yoon Loong began as a modest kopitiam run by a Hainanese family in Malaysia. It quickly became known for its white coffee — brewed from beans roasted in palm oil margarine and served with condensed milk — now recognized as the original Ipoh white coffee.
Now in its fourth generation, the shop still serves that same smooth, caramel-tinged cup. The space, built almost entirely from salvaged wood and offcuts, is sunlit and pared back, with a quiet focus on reuse. The menu leans into everyday Malaysian flavors, especially Hainanese staples like steamed sponge cakes, handmade kaya, and soft-boiled eggs on toast — all best enjoyed with a cup of that signature brew.
